Geometric Night
DJ TakeRun. read the room.
Vocal-led sets crossing Mr.Children to Mraz, Annalisa to Anjunadeep.
Every DJ has a library. Few make theirs visible. This page is the curatorial proof — what's in the crate, what gets played, what shapes the sets.

The signal
This is not a club DJ. This is a curatorial DJ who happens to own the floor.
Vocal-melodic spine (Pop+Rock = 44%) layered on harmonic-mixing literacy (broad Camelot key spread) and a working club tempo (peak BPM mode 120-129). The library reads the way an event planner needs it to: trustworthy emotional range, not just one peak.

Wooden Hour
Ukulele Coverist. solo, every other week.
Solo ukulele covers recorded in a quiet room before the rest of the day. The acoustic counter-weight to the DJ life. Covers span J-pop, Jason Mraz, Italian pop, and the occasional outlier.

/playbook · the operating system, exposed
The Playbook. how this whole thing actually works.
Most creators hide their machinery. This OS exposes it — brand architecture, audience model, content cadence, business model, and live KPIs. As much for me (to stay coherent) as for visitors (to see the seriousness).
A polymath identity is hard to read. The Playbook lets bookers, brand partners, and curious humans see the system behind the output — and trust the seriousness.
/playbook/01 · brand architecture
One person. three brands. one umbrella.
A "Branded House" structure: the personal hub at takerun.jp surfaces three coordinated sub-brands. Each sub-brand keeps its own visual identity, audience, and channel mix — but all feed back into the same human.
TakeRun
data scientist · DJ · ukulele · runner · italianist
Each sub-brand uses orange as a primary or secondary accent. This is the unconscious cue that tells visitors "this is the same person" even when the surrounding visual world is different — geometric urban (DJ), warm wooden (Uku), or classical Italian (Diaries).

12 months. built to be sustainable.
A creator OS dies when the calendar is aspirational. This calendar is conservative — designed to survive busy quarters at the day job, travel weeks, and recovery weeks.

Health flags
✓ Healthy
· Italian channel growing fastest, validates positioning
· Booking inquiries trending up, ahead of schedule
· Cross-pollination working (uku subs from Italy ↑)
· Site uptime 100%
⚠ Watch
· DJ mix cadence slipped July-Aug (acceptable per plan)
"What gets measured gets honest. What stays hidden grows mythologies."
/about · the human behind the hub
One person. three channels. zero shortcuts.
the short version
Data scientist by weekday. Curatorial DJ by weekend.
TakeRun is the stage name of a Japan-based data scientist with a 4,281-track library, a CILS B1+ Italian certificate, and 24 countries stamped into a 30-year travel history. The DJ work is vocal-led and room-reading. The ukulele work is quiet and deliberate. The Italian work is daily and compounding.
This hub is the proof that the three aren't a brand — they're a life, slowly operating in public.
why three brands
Because one identity can't hold all of it.
DJ TakeRun exists for people who hire DJs — they need a clean channel, clear signal, fast answers.
Ukulele Coverist exists for people who love covers — a slow, solo, contemplative room.
The Diaries exists for people curious about the human — travel, language, café, the long slow accumulation.
